I am an EMT at an ambulance company based out of the Antelope Valley. I have been transporting patients to this hospital for the past 5 years. In those 5 years I have seen numerous patients die due to lack of patient care. Almost everytime we transport patients to this hospital we are forced to wait for hours on end with the patient until a hospital bed opens up. A majority of the time there are numerous hospitals beds cleaned and ready to go however the CEO refuses to staff them. On one occasion in Palmdale Regional I waited 20 hours with a patient on my ambulance gurney before they received a hospital bed. Not only is this detrimental to the patient s medical emergency worsening, but the patient was also forced to sit in urine and feces for an extensive period of time. I have seen patients die on ambulance gurneys inside Palmdale Regional while waiting for a bed. No wonder Palmdale Regional received a B rating in patient care. Do not bring any of your loved ones to this hospital.
