Where to begin!? First of all the property charges...

Where to begin!? First of all the property charges a hidden urban amenity fee which is just a way to add another $25 to the room cost, the only urban amenity I saw around the hotel were some street people smoking weed and a guy throwing up. It s not a nice location or even a safe location, so dont walk around the local area with your wife! The valet is $40 a day and it s not worth it as the text to call the car portion of their service doesn t work and you end up waiting. The check in lady was pleasant but offered no free drink at the bar as is clearly stated in the hotels website, I discovered this after we left. The elevator has a nice lcd screen for watching a modern art video, but this was broken and the experience was just that, riding in an elevator with a broken tv - maybe that was art in some way?? The upgraded room was next to the elevator and had 3 windows, the largest of which was covered by an opaque film, so here we specifically booked a Mountain View room with the largest of 3 widows unusable?? This left the two tall skinny windows, if you sat in the chair looking out at the view you had two ten inch wide gaps with a wide aluminum bar running down the middle, what a joke. Who would think covering the biggest window in a view room is a clever thing to do?? So the view really wasn t nice at all and was just another disappointment in a long string of disappointments with this property. The room was dingy and the cabinet next to the refrigerator was actually down right dirty. The standing lamp was unplugged and we had to move the couch to plug it in, typical of as low end hotel but not what I expected here. The refrigerators light was left on and at about 3 am I finally figured out it had a switch hidden next to the light inside, why just leave these on? It s an annoying light. The coffee maker light flashes all night long and had to be unplugged. The iron wouldn t steam correctly. The bar closed at 9pm and even though we were there by 8:40 we were rushed to order as we walked to our table we were told last call was happening now. We scanned the menu with our phones but they didn t work, the waitress told us to go online and search out the menu.. very cool. We ordered a cheese plate and it arrived with like 6 crackers so we had to ask for more and wait on them. The staff was trying to finish their chores and that was the most important part of their night, not the paying guests. We felt unwelcome and as though we shouldn t have come to the bar at 8:40.. who closes a hotel bar at 9pm anyway?? See how the comfort of the guests is an afterthought? The entire hotel felt cold and lacked atmosphere or character, honestly you d probably have a better experience at a some holiday inn or Ramada... the Sheraton which is close by is would be a much better choice. Dont waste your money here,
