Big Bend was a little above average for the parks ...

Big Bend was a little above average for the parks we've visited. The highlight of the park for sure is the hot springs. Fun to sit in and enjoy the scenery by the river. We hiked up some trails to overlook the river and get a better view. Across the river are some really big peaks and mesa looking mountains.

We also stopped to look at one of the fossil sites, although it was freezing out and windy so it made for a quick viewing of the exhibits. The examples of the skeletons and the femur bone were pretty interesting.
