I've been here for events on and off over the years - weddings, work events, etc. I've stayed a few times, had quite a few meals, and even booked a few small events so I've dealt with different levels of staff as well - there's one gentleman who's originally from Nackawic (you know who you are!) who is an absolute sweetheart - dealt with him at three events so far this year and he always makes sure I've got what I need.

The renovations are beautiful, rooms are great, food is good - I'm not over the moon with Catch Urban Grill but it's not that it's bad, just not always as good as it could be, if that makes any sense? Also the Starbucks in the lobby closes before noon, which just doesn't make any sense to me, but they must not get enough business once people check out in the morning to keep it open the rest of the day. A minor inconvenience.

I have to agree with the poster who complained about the snow removal but let's be honest, how are they going to plow the lot if people don't move their cars? I don't envy them that chore.

I mean really, the only downside about the place is that it's not super close to the downtown core, but it's only a 20-25 minute walk to City Hall, so long as you're not wearing heels or dragging a suitcase behind you, that's not so bad, and you can use the walking trail by the river to go if you want. On the plus side it's actually got free parking, there are other restaurant choices if need be (the Diplomat and two diners nearby), plus it's walking distance from my office, which is super convenient when I have work events to attend to (easier when lugging equipment and the like).

Long story short: I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family (and anyone else who asks)!
