Positives:
1) The staff in the office are very polite and helpful

2) No issues with payments, deposit and refund of half a weeks rent provided quickly and as promised (unlike certain other rental companies).

Negatives:
1) Assessment examiner: Condescending know-it-all, tried to teach me safety 'tips' of driving, despite me being never involved in an accident in over ten years of driving.

2) Issue with tyre: Tyre warning sign within 24 hours - means the car wasn't checked properly before being given to me. Once I sign the contract i am responsible for any tyre changes. Clever policy by company to make their drivers change the tyre, but I didn't as I am not owner of the car.

5) Rearranged inspection due to nice lady on the phone. Went to get vehicle inspection at garage OTTO are in partnership with, didn't get provided with MOT. Got to office in Hammersmith, waited 40 minutes for my appointment, scheduled at 10:40AM, but got turned back by rude MOT man who seemed to have a chip on his shoulder, as I did not bring an MOT.

Handed in notice there and then.

Conclusion: Nice people (not the driving assessor), no money issues, but company policy in ridiculous in relation to lack of emergency support and PHV licensing.

NB: I am a real person, rented Skoda Octavia (HX17 WHM), before I get a reply saying there is no record of me on the system lol.

In response to Otto reply -

1) Abdul didn't tell me about the red flashing light meaning payment - his word against mine. He informed me that a flashing red light means the car may potentially immobilise. His service was very good actually, friendly and polite, but clear lack of information regarding the immobilisation issue.

2) I wasn't provided with an emergency number

3) Why was I not informed the licence was expiring before I rented the car? This lack of information is clearly a tactic designed by the company so not to put off any potential renter.

4) Your responses have no substance nor proof. Otto should get into partnership with proper garages, not back street ones.

5) Buy a proper office instead of replying to reviews from your box.
