March 9th of 2019, We had our worse nightmare come...

March 9th of 2019, We had our worse nightmare come true. All of the cast iron pipes under our house are cracked and cause severe water damage in our home. We had a 35 foot trench in our living room, went with out a kitchen for 2 and half months. All while living here with two small children and two dogs. I called Universal insurance the first second I realized, this is not going to be good. Terrified for my home and family when I first called they took down my information. 7 days later after many phone calls, they had no sense of urgency at all. Finally an adjuster showed. After he left he said he would immediately process our claim and was very concerned. We have had two master plumbers replace the main sewer line in only our main living space. Today is now April 29th, I have called the insurance 7 times. No response we have had to spend over 40k dollars to fix our home, and our bathrooms are still not complete. Two plumbers have said our entire home needs replacing. We still have to tear up both bathrooms and our driveway to finish. Not having the money for a hotel, We have had no kitchen, no running water for weeks. I have , called and begged for financial help from insurance, no response. I have asked for a supervisor, no response. All they say is Of course your covered, we are still making our determination. We pay for insurance of course they will help. WRONG! Its ridiculous we pay for insurance for a reason. And universal doesn't care at all about my home or my family. If you have any other options for your insurance. We still have thousands and thousands to spend, there is no reason for this! Take it from me STAY FAR AWAY FROM UNIVERSAL! And if you do have them hire someone right away for help. This insurance company is TERRIBLE!
