It's not the best hospital I've ever been to - and...

It's not the best hospital I've ever been to - and I have more than a bit of experience in this arena. Honestly, the hospital over in Quitman, which is a fraction of the size of SGMC, seems in my estimation to be far more on the ball and better in the way that they receive and more thorough in the way that they treat patients who come through their doors.
Being that only South Georgia Medical Center is the only large hospital complex in this area, you'd think comprehensive treatment would be a given. In some areas this happens to be true. My primary care doctor is affiliated, as is the women's clinic I attend and they're good. But when I went through the ER with a bad sprain, they wouldn't even give me crutches to go home with or a boot over my cast, instead referring me to area drugstores to purchase them as an out of pocket expense. Don't even get me started about that. They can and should do better than they do, since they are the only hospital serving this city. That's my honest opinion.
