After we lost our yellow lab before the holidays, our chocolate lab was very upset and lonely. I completed application through the lab rescue of Florida hoping to get paired with a puppy since we have a 5 year old daughter at home. Every experience with the lab rescue has been phenomenal. We received a quick response to my application from the local representative who came for the home visit a few days after the phone interview. She was very helpful and kind. She informed us there was a puppy available that day and gave us a contact information of the Foster family. I spoke with a Foster mom for quite a while and arranged a visit the next morning. We enjoy a nice long visit with the Puppy and our family ... falling in love instantly. Unfortunately, the puppy still had a few health issues that and had to be checked with the vet, so we were not able to pick her up for another week. The Foster family was in contact daily with pictures and updates on her progress. It was a smooth and wonderful transition o bring the puppy into our home. I continue to be in contact with a Foster mom and we could not be happier with the latest addition to our family. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work, dedication and compassion.
