Oh, dear, we were looking for a new buffet place for dinner and read on one of the major online review sites that this place is excellent. It is not. Far from it.
With an "Openrice" discount (what the heck is that?) the price per person drops to HK$350. But at this price there are plenty of other good places, and most are far better than this.
The only redeeming quality is the oysters. Coffin Bay and Irish rock. Not bad. They do have unlimited snow crab legs, but that is pretty much standard fare in most buffet.
There is no carving table. No roasts whatsoever. This would be an expected standard feature.
They do have a large steamed fish in the Cantonese style. But the fish appeared to be farmed and over cooked. It was gone very shortly and it took them 45 minutes and lots of prompting to bring another one out.
Some of the ingredients are obviously of inferior quality. For example, fillet of sole was mushy in a not fresh sort of way and tasted like chemicals. Most supermarkets sell better stuff than this.
There is a curry of, what? Curry of salmon head. Alright, I like a large fish head curry in the Singaporean or Indian style. But a salmon head? No thanks. Most likely a left over from their other salmon dishes, or they got a good deal on this stuff.
At this price, there should be a carving table, much better ingredients, and much more to choose from.
