Great but maybe limiting for anybody with mobility...

Great but maybe limiting for anybody with mobility issues as the zoo is located on a hillside. Access to the zoo is varied, our trip was via Captain Cook ferries, so we entered off the river and that entails a cable car ride to the entrance which was fun. Plenty of the wildlife indigenous to Australia, we got to see the Platypus too. Lots of other animals of course. During our visit, there appeared to be a lot of development going on. A shame but we are sure it will only make it better. It rained while we were there, boy did It rain and being on a hillside it came down the walkways in torrents, so think of suitable footwear if you do visit.
