I decided to spend a relaxing evening at the Carlyle watching TV.or nearly $700/night. But the TV didn't work (faulty remote which the engineer decided not to replace until his second visit). But when thee TV worked the channels were blurry. Finally I called the front desk and asked the supervisor, Lorena Olizandesa, for a reduction in my room rate and she responded with stony silence, No help there. .So my advice is no tot be fooled because this is an iconic hotel (JFK and Truman slept here). Make sure the TV and thermostat work before you let the bell-person leave, It was for me a sad experience as I always idealized this hotel which is only a few blocks from home where the same TV server (Spectrum) has no problem at all delivering working TV service,
