I chose this resort for our wedding guests because it was the only one that could facilitate the amount of people that were staying over night. The rooms are very outdated, however, they are still clean. There are newer rooms, but don't count on getting them with a large party. Prices are very high for the rooms our guests stayed in. I would say it's not worth the stay except for that it was for attending a wedding. Check out is at 11AM so our guests didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities that you basically pay for the high rates even though they were there only to sleep, eat breakfast, and leave.

The biggest issue I had with the Villa Roma was the welcome bags. I sent over welcome bags to be handed out to each guest. In these bags were snacks, waters, juices, and an itinerary for the day of the wedding and a breakfast (paid by us) the following morning. Almost half of our guests did not receive these bags- they did not receive our gifts and were unaware of the breakfast. Fortunately, Villa Roma did understand our frustration and lowered the headcount to half for the breakfast. While this saved us some money, it doesn't make up for the fact that they did not meet our expectations for our guests' stay. We had put in a lot of effort in putting together the bags, personalizing them, and hoped that each guest would enjoy our efforts. Not only did they not receive them, we never got them back. One good feedback I got was that the breakfast was very good. Too bad only some of them got to enjoy it.
