The worst dining experience we've had in years. the website states they'll hold the reservation for 15 minutes, but they released it at 10 minutes after (about when we walked in the door) and the bar was so loud people were yelling over each other the entire time. Service wasn't terrible for a Chili's, but for a place that's got $45 steaks I'd expect some actual training (busing the tables, asking how the food was, refilling drinks). Our waitress herself was very nice, and very over-worked (multiple small tops and a 12 top).
Both of our steaks were awful cuts and poorly cooked. I got gristle all through mine and my husband's NY strip was extremely fatty and run through with gristle. No seasoning whatsoever. I'd have happily payed $25 for that steak, but $45 and i didn't even eat half of it or the sides (potatoes were extremely gritty). The steak butter was prepared like crab butter and thus completely useless unless i wanted my steak to be 90% butter, and they went past the carmelization that makes steak good and straight into burnt. The whole atmosphere was extremely confused- either be a dive bar, a restaurant, or a nice restaurant. Trying to accomplish all three falls short in every way. Will not be returning, and will warn off anyone else in the area.
My husband's baked potato also came with a full piece of bacon just resting on top, and made it very confusing to eat as they don't also bring by a cutting board and knife.
