Orthopedics temple, located in the former monastery of San Michele in Bosco, historic home dating back to at least the 14th century (rich in history).
From a purely tourist point of view it is worth visiting to see the monumental part: from the octagonal cloister of the Carracci to the monumental corridor (1 floor to the monumental) with a view of Bologna (window with the famous "telescope effect"), always in the same corridor it deserves visit the sundial but, above all, the Umberto I library (once the library of Olivetan monks), containing one of the richest and most complete collection of medical texts in orthopedics.
Also worth visiting is the church, a real gem.
It deserves at least one souvenir photo from the monumental square overlooking Bologna.
Founded in 1896, it has made and still is the school of orthopedics worldwide.
From the orthopedic point of view, the temple of orthopedics remains, as already mentioned, ranging from pediatric to oncological and vertebral, passing through prosthetic surgery.
The emergency room is open every day from 7.30 to 19.30 for all orthopedic emergencies.
