Guest services at this location were not very accommodating. If you want to be treated with respect don t stay here.
Since we have been victims of identity theft, we stopped using a CC and only use debit. At check in, I was completely prepared to pay for the room in full, taxes and the incidentals fee of $150. This wasn t my first stay here and I have done this before.
Since I refused to cooperate with their demand, they wouldn t let my family check in. I have stayed at many hotels and always paid this way. Since it was New Years Eve, they said a CC was mandatory. They asked if I wanted to cancel my reservation and since I could not check in because of their special event rules, isn t that a ridiculous question? I m a Hilton Honours member, sorry WAS a member since I was treated this way. I was loyal to the brand but now I m left disappointed with their customer service and don t think I ll be staying at any Hilton in the near future. I went down the street to the Marriott and explained what happened with tears in my eyes, and they went out of their way to treat me like a guest should be. They were so accommodating and their service went above and beyond. This experience made me so angry I was crying on New Years Eve because of a terrible experience but believe I have found a new brand that will take my money.
