Clete McLaughlin Review of St. Peter's Bakery

My wife and I stopped by there yesterday for a sandwich and some treats. I know they have wonderful bakery items because I previously purchased them at the Phoenixville farmers market. However, I never had their sandwiches and so we decided it would be nice to grab a sandwich and sit outside on the deck . We were then informed you need a RESERVATION to do so. Are you kidding me? A reservation at a bakery. The tables were all empty. This is a bad business model for a bakery. I'm sure we are not the first people that left because they couldn't sit down and eat their food or goodies while enjoying the nice weather. I think they would do much better if they went to a first come/served model as most people would not expect you need a reservation at a bakery.,

We went there today for brunch and Melanie, her son Jeff, and the staff could not have been more accommodating.. My Frittata and my wife's quiche were amazing. We split a double chocolate cookie for desert that melted in your mouth. I already knew their baked items were the best, but now I know they also have a delicious brunch . There was some confusion the first time I went there on a Friday evening, that is the only time they suggest a reservation due to the popularity of their Friday night musical entertainment {which we definitely plan on attending.} In summation, I highly recommend this bakery. You can not go wrong with the meals, baked goods, and the view from the back deck overlooking St. Peter's village legendary scenery,,,
