2 things: 1. My girlfriend went there with severe back pain. They NEVER gave her blood work and all they did was give her 2 shots one being a pain reliever and one a muscle relaxer (both did not work at ALL). The young nurse was more worried about getting off her shift than actually taking the time to put band-aids on the injections. She actually said she was in a hurry. We were in and out of there in about 45 minutes which is pretty quick since we were there at about 6:30 a.m..She had a big bruise on here left arm from where the nurse put the needle. Also all of the staff that were in was not on the same page. She felt worse when she came out of the hospital. 2. I had a migraine a while back and they asked what my pain was at on a scale of 1 to 10 I told them a 15 and the nurse had the audacity to say "Well it only goes up to 10" I said than a 10. All they did was give me some pain killers in a i.v. and ran me thru a mri and they still couldn't find the source of my pain. They looked at me like I was some kind of junkie. I would not recommend ANYONE to Lapeer. All they care about is getting paid and going home. They seriously do not care at all about the people who come in. I believe the only way any of the staff got their license was thru a cracker jack box (sarcasm). When my girlfriend went there it felt like a fast food joint. When I went there again they made me feel like I was an addict. Years ago that place was good and they actually had staff who took the time with their patients. My mom had witnessed the abuse of a elderly person a few years ago and she did report the incident. The nurse got into trouble...How much trouble? you may ask I am unsure. A couple of my family members have died under their "care" as well. (Ok so more than just 2 things but still). Sure IF your lucky you may actually get someone who does give a hoot (saying this politely) but 9 times out of 10 you'll get the usual stuck up, doesn't know what the heck they are doing type of people. I feel a great deal of sympathy to anyone that goes to that hospital. END OF RANT!
