Horrible experience. Had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with Joe who works with Howard. He was extremely confrontational, agitated and had zero people skills. Ed Tarbox, you may want to rethink having Joe deal with potential customers.
The "salesmen" there are remnant of the past that needs to be wiped out. Since I was a female who had "done homework" I was ready to test drive and make offer based on my extensive research. From the time I walked in I was subject to backhanded, passive/aggressive comments such as "what is all that paperwork you have"; when finally Joe said to me, "I've been selling cars for a long time and you think you know everything" was when I got up and left.
Message to Joe: I do know 1 thing and that is you are a failure as a salesperson, you are the reason that people make the sign of the cross when they have to go to an auto dealership.
Saying "straightforward" to Joe at Tarbox is like throwing holy water on vampire!
Sent an email to Ed Tarbox but never heard back - no surprise.
UPDATE: Hey all guess what - I would actually like to thank Joe for being the type of person he was because I left and found the dream car!
No kidding - I found and closed on the vehicle that I really wanted, it was an upgrade trim and less price than the vehicle they showed me.
Guess things do happen for a reason. If it weren't for Joe being a disaster I may have bought that car and would not have found the dream car - I am picking up my car Saturday.
