I booked a room with a third party booking service...

I booked a room with a third party booking service and paid for the room online but when I arrived they charged my card as well unbeknownst to me. When I contacted Marriot about the error they claimed the hotel said they'd fix it. They didn't and have since then stopped answering emails. I have not heard from the hotel itself at all.

The situation has now been resolved. I honestly do not know if they had planned to credit back my card previous to my review or after. The credit says 12/21 so it is likely the former. A lot of time and energy could have been saved if they had simply let me know the credit was on the way and it should not have taken me 3 weeks to fix it.

For me the moral of the story is CHECK YOUR BILL at checkout.
