There are 2 ways to explore the palace. Go with the general population and be prepared to get packed, squeezed like sardines. Or the more civilize way is hire a private tour guide to the palace (pricey). A curator will show you private viewing away from the general area. They have keys to private chambers of where King Louies real bedrooms, dining rooms, library, and game room. Access to inside the church plus the high light private viewing of the opera house. Truly a wonderful experience.
