Amazing location, Pet Friendly, Largest hotel room I have ever had in NYC!
I love the location of the Conrad hotel, easy walk to Soho and Tribeca, your off the busy touristy parts of the city and you can walk your dog along the water. The Conrad is an all suite hotel which means you are guaranteed a gorgeous room. You have a living room, huge shower and bedroom with Asian inspired door to create privacy. The bed is comfy and best of all the are a pet friendly hotel.
Positives the room is stunning and worth the money. Needs work; the breakfast is a tricky one. I had stayed here two years ago and wanted to stay here again because of the amazing breakfast they offered. Most hotels in NYC have very limited breakfast for the members benefits making those who hold status not feel appreciated by NYC hotels.
This past weekend when I stayed I was beyond disappointed by the breakfast options. The service was less then to be desired, one waiter skimmed my husbands face with his breakfast when he put it in front of him. They offer French Press coffee on the menu and it was amazing last visit, well they no longer offer it because they got ride of the machine, yet still offered it on the menu.... Our waiter never asked us how anything was or if we needed more coffee. I understand it was busy but that doesn't mean service should be horrible.
Another shocker to me was that people were waiting over 20 minute for a seat at the hotel breakfast? I have never seen that before, traveling all over the world I have never seen a hotel have guest put there name in and wait around the lobby. I was not impressed by this and it frustrated me that staying in a nice hotel I would have to put my name in for breakfast and wait, made me question if I should have called down the second I got up and put my name in.
I would like to stay here again when I return to NYC because of the location and amazing rooms but if breakfast is not included in your hotel rate I highly recommend you don't eat here and pay the extra, there are so many amazing options in NYC why waste your time and money.
One highlight is the Loopy Doopdy which is a roof top bar. They offer these prosseco popsicle drinks which are amazing, and got well with the gorgeous view of the Hudson. The drinks are pricey at 25$ a pop, but well worth a visit to enjoy the atmosphere and view!
