Beautiful in mid-April. Wildflowers still much nicer than those on the roads relatively late in their cycle - don't know why. Lots of signs and volunteers. Took the very interesting and informative walking tour at 10am.
The cafe is good but gets overrun at noon. Better to eat early or late if you're going to eat lunch there.
Plenty of free parking inside the grounds and on the street.
