Consistency is everything for a eatery! After leaving a stellar review on yelp yesterday, I gave them a 3 star for lack of consistency today. We ordered two croissant sandwiches yesterday, but today they charged me MORE. To switch from a bacon egg and cheese english muffin to a croissant, they charged me for two separate sandwiches/bread types. It would have been fine, if it was simply an up charge for the croissant and that was there practice. It would have been better if they charged me more yesterday, so I could have made the decision to come back today, if I felt it was worth it. I even told the young lady that this wasn t what they charged me yesterday. I will say, although that young lady taking my order wasn t really inviting-no smile, she did go out her way to ask someone else to help her to determine what I should be charged, which suggests Blue Bottle doesn t have a set format to determine this-again inconsistency, but that person/manager was busy and dismissive. That manager should have taken a quick minute to hear what happened! The only reason why I did not give them a two star rating is because I still enjoyed the food. The level of service to which your product is attach to, is the key component for repeat customers. To be clear, it wasn t just about the amount of money charged, because I still paid for it, it was having an expectation that was previously experienced to be changed.
