We used Eagle Relocations to move from London to Sydney earlier this year. The sales consultant who visited was thorough and answered all our questions. When we received the quote, Sarah was very helpful in answering all my questions back and forth. I would recommend reading through all the terms and conditions, even though it seems tedious, to make sure you're aware of what you're signing and there aren't any hidden costs. There weren't on our contract but I felt better having confirmation back in writing.

When we had our move date confirmed, the packing crew turned up a little later than expected because they were running behind on an earlier job (not their fault but not relevant to this review). There were 3 on the job and we found Tracy and Richard to be superb! They packed everything like machines and within a few hours had most of our 2 bed flat packed up. When they left, I realised that I had left my handbag with my wallet and keys on a pile of clothes that was meant to be packed! Panic set in but I called and spoke with Sarah who got hold of Tracy and confirmed that they would bring that box back the next day. They did too and I was amazed that Tracy knew exactly which box to bring back. They have a brief description of what's in each box but all it said was "clothes" and there were 4 identical boxes! Anyway, crises averted and I got my handbag back.

Tracy and Richard continued with the pack the next day, hardly even stopping for lunch. All our furniture was well wrapped and loaded onto their truck. We waved our personal belongings goodbye for the next 12 weeks. Our move manager was successful in loading our shipment onto a ship sailing for Australia the very next week so we didn't waste any time waiting for a ship. Our final shipment volume came in under the quote so we got some of the money refunded.

We were able to track the status of our shipment while it was on the ship. And then when it arrived in Australia, the local agent took over. OSS were professional as well and they delivered our items as quickly as possible. The 2 guys who turned up from OSS were professional too. They were efficient in unloading the truck and putting boxes/furniture in the correct rooms. We didn't need them to do a lot of unpacking so they were gone within 3 hours or so. They did leave a few scuff marks on the wall so they could have been a bit better.

When we unpacked our items, all fragile items were intact, not even a chip! However, there was some damage to a couple of chests of drawers and our TV had a big scratch on the screen despite us paying 75 quid for a custom made wooden box (waste of money!). We put in an insurance claim for this damage which was approved and paid out promptly so we were satisfied with that process. I would definitely recommend getting the insurance as it was a relatively small cost for our peace of mind.

I would recommend Eagle if you're looking to move from the UK.
