Don't get me wrong the Palace of Versailles is something you must go see at least once in your lifetime and it's a magnificent and almost unrealistically beautiful place, but the line and the crowd can be enough to taint your experience. Sometimes the wait to just get inside the building can be a few hours long, and the crowd moves you along at an annoying pace.
