Visited America with my wife & kids for the 1st time in 2013 staying here for 7 nights. All I can say is WOW what an introduction. When we booked we did not realise it was the weekend of the Mayweather & Candello boxing fight. We stepped out of our transfer to the grounds of MGM & it was already mayhem with people everywhere we had never seen so many people at a hotel. Not knowing what was going on until we were able to get closer to the entrance with all security, cameras etc around & then I saw Floyd Mayweather & that explained it. Every single room approx 5,000 was SOLD due to this fight. What a wonderful atmosphere to be in & our kids loved it too. WOW! We had booked & paid for 2 interconnecting rooms for a family of 5 with views of the strip. Beautiful views we had too. We stayed in Tower 1. Luggage people were helpful I can't say alot more about staff as they were all too busy that really didn't seem to have time for us. Staff at front desk were lovely upon check-in. Pools WOW pools everywhere our kids loved. We are not gamblers & kids loved being able to get to places inside the gambling areas & still look from a distance at what punters were doing. Gambling areas were roped off so kids couldn't pass but they could still see. Family not a fan of smoke. You are able to smoke everywhere in all casinos in America, which was a shock to us as here in Australia you are not most places are "Smoke Free" areas & there is only small designated smoking areas nowadays.
