The tour started 2 hours late and we sat around waiting without explanation. Additionally, the time
on the mountain was much shorter than advertised (only 2 hours in length). Although many told me that discounts would be given to active duty soldiers from the 10th Mountain, the manager was more concerned with making a buck and stated no discounts during the Holiday season (when soldiers have leave). If you are looking for a historic tour of the 10th Mountain you would be better served to grab some skis or snowshoes, self study, and do the tour yourself. Very little was covered and the remains of the main camp structures were not even driven by. Great scenery, very friendly guide, but the management was not interested supporting active duty soldiers on a quest to learn more about those that founded the 10th Mountain as they had advertised.
