While my wedding cake cake tasting and design session were very pleasant, I was extremely disappointed with the grooms cake. I wanted an Alabama themed cake of God, family and football. I paid $800.00 for a cake that was approximately a 24 x 12 with a poorly printed football field picture laid out as the field and and the houndstooth surrounding the field at the sheet cake base was poorly printed and it did not properly align and match up. The football helmet and bible was feaux (which we agreed on) and those looked decent, but we re placed on the printed field in such a way that looked random and arbitrary. I was so upset because such a precious moment of sharing it with my husband was ruined and I can never get it back. I have seen custom kids birthday party cakes (football fields) that we re designed much better and made by hand, not a picture of a field printed and laid out. Had I known the grooms cake would have turned out so horrific, I would have just paid 150.00 for the better looking kids custom cake. To make matters worse, I contacted Jay about my dissatisfaction, and his response was, Well your wedding planner and I thought it looked great. Waste of money and a precious moment of time. There are several other nice custom cake bakeries in the Nashville area that I found and used since my wedding, I d look elsewhere if I were you.
