This truly is a great place to stay and pay but, a couple words of caution. Like with anything in the Dells, it's not cheap. When it comes to entertainment, you definitely get what you pay for, if you make the most of it. There are tons of things to do. Everyday goods can be really expensive, think ahead and stock up for your stay. Yes, there is a walmart within close distance along with a convenience store but, if you dont want to leave the resort, the convenience of those items will cost you. The complex is absolutely gorgeous but, vast. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes for walking and strollers for shuttling little ones around, you'll be glad you did.
The one major draw back we had on our most recent visit is the scheduling of housekeeping. The first day they showed up was around noon and we just started to feed our little ones. We weren't going to leave so, we skipped services that day. The next day, trying to plan ahead, we didnt return to the room until 1:30. The room wasnt services and they showed up at 3 to do it, right in the middle of nap time. We contacted the front desk around 4 and asked if we could get the room serviced while we were gone over the next 2 hours. When we came back, it still wasnt serviced. At this point, we gave up.
It is a great place with tons to do and a massive complex that is very beautifully decorated. We understand that it's hard to do everything to conform to everyone's schedules however, when you say something is going to be done, you need to make sure it's done. It's too easy to just feel like just another dollar in the stack.
We will be going back in the future. We will just make sure to speak with housekeeping about their daily schedules every morning.
