ORTHOPEDICS DEPARTMENT

ORTHOPEDICS DEPARTMENT
In September 2001 and January 2002 my husband underwent hip prostheses at this hospital. The head physician was Prof. Gianni Randelli, a truly excellent person. From then on we have been followed ANNUALLY by Dr. Visentin who knows my husband's problems very well.
In February 2018, my husband fractured his hip again.
We immediately get in touch with Dr. Visentin who suggests - for the moment - not to move him from the hospital of our city where he was taken because in the San Donato ward they had no immediate place and should have consulted the primary (Dr. Filippo RandellI) who was out of office .......

WITH GREAT SURPRISE AND AFTER 8 LONG DAYS OF WAITING, during which we did NOT allow the doctors of the hospital in our city to intervene while waiting for hospitalization in Milan (and therefore risking even further physical damage!), Here is the ANSWER of the Doctor: "We cannot take care of the patient because it is a complicated case and we already have others to treat ...".

WHAT A SHAME!

The question arises spontaneously: "To go to Milan strictly every year, followed as patients, believing that you have a safe support in case this is exactly what happened ?????". And instead??
Having known, we would have saved time in all these years because in the moment of real need we were left as they say "on foot" "!!!

We also wonder if the head physician Filippo Randelli is really aware of this behavior.

IF so ..... then which structure of excellence should we talk about? I believe there is a code of ethics and conscience, too!
Easy cases are easy for everyone, but excellence is seen in difficult cases (above all) and in respect for a patient being treated and followed by the hospital itself. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

Thank God there are people who make a MISSION of their profession, luckily we found one of these and a stone's throw from home. Not all evil comes to harm! I repeat. It's a shame.
