My husband and I stayed at this property not knowing this was a timeshare. This wasn t listed on Marriott s website, although we were able to redeem our points. My husband holds Titanium Elite status with Marriott and we have never experienced such poor treatment. Staff wasn t very helpful. We felt like we were bothering them with our questions.
We paid extra for an ocean view room and were giving this lovely view. The hotel manager claimed that this was actually an upgrade to ocean front. You can t see the ocean unless you walk all the way to the right side and lean over. The ocean is nowhere near. We asked several times to switch rooms, but were told no rooms were available. We also asked for points refund and got 20K back, but we paid 120K. Hotel manager said she didn t see any problem and it was indeed an ocean front room. Palm tree was invisible to her. No late check out and other perks for Marriott status holders. We were extremely disappointed.
