I started my experience with Coral Springs Auto Mall last Wednesday. I am in the market for a new to me SUV. I have narrowed my search to GMC Acadia LT and was happy to see one on their site. After speaking to the sales guy (more than once) I talked to AJ in the finance dept. I explained - just as I had done to the sales person- that I was coming from Fort Myers area and had a day at disney planned on sat so I wanted to get everything in line for Sunday. The specific vehicle I was looking at was listed for $15700 and I told AJ that I was pre approved and would have my bank draft with me but I would like to see the price as close to $13000 as possible. He said that they obviously try to post a competitive price but being as it was so close to the end of the mp he would be happy to work with me and he was not going to loose a deal over a few thousand dollars. So I made it all happen I got my bank draft (for up to 20k) got the vin number to add to my insurance and arranged transportation from the other side of the state. I spoke to my original sales guy on Thursday and even called on sat to make sure the vehicle was still available. At that point we had ANOTHER conversation that all they had to do was show me the vehicle was in good shape and work with me on the price I would take it.When I arrived I test drove the vehicle and was ready to go over numbers. I then was given a cringe face by the sales person who helped me when I told him about my conversation with AJ. The sales guy then asked me about my interest rate I advised him it was at 2.25. Then he said sooo you want to discount the car 1/3...no I want you to work with me on the price like I was told you could and would. He then went to get AJ who proceeded to tell me the internet prices were final and because I drove so far they would take 200 off. I was sooo mad! There was one 12 miles from my house for that!!! I felt like AJ flat out lied to get me there. I left for lunch to feed my 2 year old I had to bring along for this o soo fun experience. I was assured by the sales guy that he had someone working on it and would call me. After lunch I still had not been called so I called the sales person back who told me they had juat sold it. Fine great I know that is the point of your business HOWEVER TELL ME you have someone in house willing to give you full price thats completely different thab giving me 2 stories just to get me to go all the way over there. Im very disappointed in there business practices.
I did get a phone call asking me to rate my experience I told her what happened and she assured me this is not how they do business (from the reviews they seem to say that ALOT) and that she would look into it and have someone call me and nothing so far.
