The Cebu Provincial Capitol is the center of government of the province of Cebu. The present structure was designed by Architect Juan M. Arellano, who also designed a plethora of iconic structures (which include the Manila Central Post Office, Negros Occcidental Capitol, Old Legislative Building, Manila Metropolitan Theater, BPI Cebu Main Branch, among others). The building has a neecolassical design with a splash of art deco. It was inaugurated by President Manuel Luis Quezon on 14 June 1936. It was rehabilitated after being damaged during World War II.

The inscription on its facade reads, "The authority of the government emanates from the people. Erected A.D. MCMXXXVII."

It is easily accessible by public transportation. There are plenty of food establishments near the capitol. Aside from picture-taking, (and unless you have government transactions to process) there is nothing else to do here.
