This place is really awful and I feel bad for the families and people who relied on Coastal Harbor when they needed help. Every time I go to visit my girlfriend she has looked far more distant and depressed than when she went in. There is extremely poor communication within the facility and everything that goes wrong comes around to hurt the patients most. There are always fresh horror stories of people trying to run away, smuggle drugs, or jump other patients. I wouldn't feel safe and I know my girl definitely doesn't. On top of that her family is too far away to visit often (not their fault of course) so they put me on the list of approved visitors but when I mentioned how I was concerned for my girlfriend they decided it was "unhealthy to her mental state" for me to visit. This place is clearly more about what can make things easier for the staff and not what can help the patients get better.
