The first night, we had a muntjack come and eat peanuts from our patio. Magical! The second day I went to the childrens shop and bought green and black facepaint for camoflage. The forks in kitchen were basic, but combining one with a broom handle allowed me to fashion a rudimentary spear. The secret to the hunt is patience, whilst remaining absolutely motionless. I rebaited the patio with Waitrose trail mix, and lay in wait in a nearby hedge with the hottub on to mask my scent... Center parcs gets five stars both for the attentive and well turned out staff, and the unparalleled rush I experienced at the moment of the kill.
