It is run by the government... Be prepared for lots of california-style nanny-state rules. They ran out of room on the tour buses at 12 already. You pay an entrance fee and then still pay for other attractions while inside. A major issue for me was security. My wife has a military spouse ID card through me and can access all bases, world-wide. Interesting though, because she's German, she could not ride the tour bus. Is an out of commission base more important than all US military bases?
