Not the biggest resort, but the closest/lowest resort with the most advanced runs, and you don't have to go over the Donner Pass. Several areas have long flats though, to get between chairs/lodges, which is annoying when skiing with kids that you have to drag along the flats. Express chairs help the crowds/lines from being too crazy, although weekends can get super busy.
