My partner and I went in on a Monday for lunch without a booking. We were advised all tables were taken/fully booked however offered the bar tables. We said no thank you as we preferred a table as it has more room. A man overheard our conversation and stood up offering his table (4 seater) and said that he was just about to leave and that we can take his table. I said that s great, then the waiter said sorry but those tables are for larger groups only . First time I have ever been told i could not sit on a table because we didn t have enough people to fill the seats. Horrible customer service, and a shame for them for losing out on a sale. That was the first time I went to the place and will be the last.
