I have to disagree with the majority of the posts here. I doubt any of them have access to LA Fitness's financial records and likely have no clue what level of funding they receive from corporate. Look, it's not a restaurant. You're there to sweat your butt off, not eat off the locker room floor. If ANYONE has any clue where people can find two indoor basketball courts in a central location on the west side please let me know. As for the ceilings being low... sure that can be annoying but they didn't build the place specifically for two basketball courts, it was retrofitted to accommodate them. You don't like it, go outside and play on asphalt. That will lower the wait for me (evidently lots of people have adjusted their outside shot to take a little arc off it , because they are very VERY popular). I've gone there since it was opened and I've NEVER seen equipment broken for weeks at a time. There are a LOT of machines and the facility offers numerous yoga, kickboxing, dancing and other type classes, including a spinning area. The only thing I would say as a negative is the showers could use a bit of a renovation. I enjoy using the jacuzzi all the time and the pool is heated and feels great. THIS GYM IS NOT DIRTY (except the showers a bit) and there is NOT trash all over the place. I wonder what kind of chip on their shoulder a lot of these posters have. Maybe they're trying to get people to not go there so they will have unfettered access to any machine any time they want.
