I recently moved into an apartment, By myself, after many years of living with a family of four. Really sucked. Faced with the prospect of furnishing and living in a new small space I was immediately aware I knew little about the logic and sensibility of how furniture and wall space and windows can work together. Enter Carole King of Porter and Mags. Carole's vast knowledge of design for interiors and materials was a real eye opener for me. She worked with the things I had, the artwork I already owned and had suggestions for new things that would really help me feel at home in a new foreign space, like lighting. Lighting is important to photographers! She had suggestions on how to breathe new life into an old sofa, and how to optimize my teeny tiny workspace with an extra shelf that fit the desk size perfectly. She looked listened and went to work brainstorming and offering good ideas one after another.
