I attended San Marcos as an eating disorder patient at 17. I am 40 now, having been cured of the ED since I was 23 and had my 3rd child. I was tired of living like that, and upon moving back to MO after being around the US for a bit, I finally was able to put into practice what San Marcos taught me. I'm currently looking back to this therapy/school/work program for my 18yo with multiple needs and Dx.
I came from the ghetto, having been raised amongst mentally illness, destroyed marriages/infidelity, and criminals. I was adopted at almost 17, and my adopted family sent me here after many attempts to keep me from killing myself in various means. I attended 5 mos, went to prom and graduation, and then into the USAF when I started my own family. I have 10 now, and I feel we are more healthy and sane than anyone I grew up with, although I love them dearly. I have not had the struggles my 4 bio siblings have had; DECADES of drug abuse for the 4 of them, 2 losing children to the system, and one in prison for murdering my cousin. I was saved, and I wholeheartedly thank Jesus Christ, my patient adopted parents, San Marcos Treatment, and loving husband. I'd be in that gutter if it wasn't for that.
