Rajas Phadke Review of Fort Jadhav GADh (Kamat Hotels...

Fort Jadhavgadh is old fort converted into a heritage hotel. The place is very well done keeping the ethnic character. The rooms are good. Most rooms look at the courtyard. We opted for the hill view room on the 2nd floor it was well worth it. The swimming pool is good for family and walking not for intense swimming. Great part is that it is heated so can be used even in winter.
Most activities are there on the weekends while during the week you may find the payatha restaurant closed. The property has a small lake and a temple. Many activities take place on the lawn.
THe Aai museum is very well kept and houses a collection of historic household items.
The place is off the main road so carry all the medicines needed as there will not be a medical store nearby.
Internet is chargeable. The mobile internet is intermittent.
Payatha resturant give the usual breakfast with maharastrian fare as well is decent.
Chajja the coffee shop offers continental, punjabi and little bit of maharashtrian food.
Staff is good and courteous.
This place is not for people with disabilities. Most of the old look is retained so the staircases are steep and made of uneven stones which can be a problem for people with knee problems. Definitely not a Wheel chair friendly place.
In all we had a quiet time which was what we wanted with enough activities to be done at our leisure
