This hotel should be closed while under the major renovation taking place both inside and out from the front entrance to the back. The air quality is hazardous to ones health! Especially to those who have asthma, emphysema, or any type of COPD. The astmatic response for us lasted two days after we left the following morning. Guests are not informed of the renovation project when booking nor prior to arrival. They do not contain the atrium or the banquet rooms from the public so their guests are heavily exposed to breathing lots of drywall dust, strong paint orders, and a burnt chemical smell from the sawing of iron railing. Two elevators in the building and one of these is for use by construction workers only. And, construction started at 6am! We checked out 1st thing the next morning. When we arrived late the night before, we could not even tell how to get into the lobby bc of all the yellow tape wrapped around the hotel so my husband called and was told we could enter through the banquet room which of course we did not bc it was under major renovation. So we ducked under the yellow tape onto the sidewalk and weaved our way with our luggage to the front door of the lobby. Still no mention from the front desk staff of how extensive the renovation project is and yes, they still charge guests full price! Advice is to stay away from this hotel until the renovation is complete.
