I will stick with facts and not mine or my wifes opinion. We felt it was time to lay our little Sassy Anne to rest on Thursday as she has cancer and has really bad days, she survived the extreme glaucoma she'd had after we had the eye removed but at almost 16 years, it was just time to take away all her pains.
I called ahead but was not warned about a 2 hour wait time when we showed up. But my wife and I felt that it was Sassy's time so we reluctantly waited. A person eventually showed up in our room and wanted to take Sassy away to weigh her and put a catheter in her. We explained that since this was Sassy's last time on earth that my wife and I would stay with Sassy through out whole process and that she would not leave our eye sight. FACT : staff was annoyed
So we continued to wait. A person came in and talked with my wife about what was going on with our little girl, then left. A little while later another staff member came in to administer a shot into Sassy's hind quarter which caused our Sassy to yelp out in pain. This person then left room and said they would be back in about 10 minutes. During our waiting, Sassy started to convulse, heart raced and was extremely uncomfortable. I opened our room door and yelled out and a staff member said she would get the Veterinarian. We waited and after a few minutes I had to yell out again and another staff member said she would get the Veterinarian and FINALLY the Vet came in and told us " oh thats just normal and she was fine " and then left. So finally after the shot had been administered 16 minutes earlier, two young women came in to insert catheter. The one young lady shaved the rear hind leg/toe area and proceeded to put this huge catheter into Sassy's vein only she did not get the vein and spent 3 minutes with catheter under Sassy's skin poking at and trying to get this catheter in place. Sassy was in so much grief and actual pain she cried out several times and the young lady said she could try a different leg. She proceeded to shave a front paw and I had finally had enough. I picked up my little old girl and held her tightly and told them there was no way I was going to allow them to hurt Sassy any longer. She wasn't suppose to feel anything and yet her last moments in life would have been of pain and discomfort. My wife and I were angry and horrified to say the least. We took our girl and walked up to front counter and told them we would pay for the one shot they gave Sassy and after the secretary ran off to the back to talk with the Veterinarian, came back with a $ 208.47 bill with these descriptions : Emergency Examination $110.00
Methadone HCI inj 10mg/mL C-2 ( per mL ) $ 51.95
Alfaxan Inj 10mg/mL C-4 ( per mL ) 46.52

FACT : Sassy Anne did NOT receive ANY type of examination !
FACT : Sassy Anne received ONE shot so the charges for both medications HAD to have been a cocktail !

We paid this bill and it also left us wondering what actually has happend to our previous puppy kid who is no longer with us that his last visit on earth was at this place we will NEVER return too ! I want to say so much more but do not want to be victimized by this Company any longer. Sassy is home still trying to recover 2 days later from the one and only shot she received from this place.
