Whether it be for Chicago Marathon, Rock n' Roll Chicago, Hot Chocolate Run, or even The Biggest Loser 5K. I get very excited to visit McCormick Place because it just does not get any better than this as for a venue for health & fitness expo. From its inner and outer beauty of the water fountains located on its premises; to its large maze like architecture which can easily get you lost if not guided by signs. I can honestly never get bored of visiting this place, even though when i visit its food court and businesses are rarely open, but it is not that I care about. Visiting McCormick Place prior to a local weekend race builds that anticipation for what many of us registered for.

McCormick Place does have many other events that take place here, such as the exam to be a Chicago Police officer; The Black Women's Expo; Auto Show; American Diabetes Health and Wellness Expo, plus many more, but honestly I can only speak about what I have visited it for, which is for health & fitness expo.

Getting to McCormick Place is not an issue because if you catch the CTA train it is short of a mile from CTA Cermak - McCormick Place - green line. One headache that you may encounter upon leaving McCormick Place, is a ton of taxi cabs being located in the area which may make it easy for you as a visitor, but trust me it is much more easier and cheaper catching the train. So save yourself the headache from dealing with the traffic, and decrease of money in your bank account from that taxi cab ride to wherever in the city you are going.
