When I enlisted in active duty military service and tried to cancel my account under the SCRA (Servicemembers Civil Relief Act) I was told that even though I had not, and would not be able to complete the course due to military service and become certified that I was still responsible for the balance on my account.
Sounds like shutting off your old landline and still being charged for it to me. After several attempts to get this corrected/ dealt with, I was left on death hold multiple times. I was actually disconnected from a call once during this process and no one ever bothered to call me back. In all my years of customer service, this would never be acceptable behavior regardless of what the situation was. Even supervisors and managers in the student services department can t be bothered to honor their response time. Long story short, very dissatisfied with the customer service aspect of this institution and would not recommend it to anyone for any reason.
It is also very disheartening that for this act to be in place since 1940 that not a single person at this institution was even aware of the SCRA, especially considering that they have a VA Benefits department.
