I am a Marriott Platinum, for those that don't know that means you have to stay a minimum of 80 nights per year at Marriott hotels. I am used to experiencing a certain amount of perks because of my status. I called ahead to ask for an upgrade here with a kitchenette. However, upon arrival I was given the original room I reserved and was told no upgrade was available even though I had been told differently on the phone. There was no free breakfast which would be a typical platinum perk. I was also told if I parked my car up the road from the hotel it would be just a five minute walk back (it was actually 15... using the shortcut through the shopping village). There is no self parking at the hotel and Valet is $25 per night. The $35 resort fee per night covers many things that would be free at other Marriott locations.
