Four years ago this spring Lighthouse Solar (Stan Pipkin was who I dealt with) was very busy with a huge installation in the then new Mueller development (formerly Austin's airport) but still found time to handle our small job of 16 panels. Each has a micro inverter for the 250w panels, so only 110v ac current comes off of the roof. It floats over the raised seam metal roof and is attached with only clamps. So as well as electricity, it gives cooling shade to an otherwise hot metal roof in the Texas heat.

I have been extremely pleased for four years. The array only supplies about 40% of our annual needs, but there is room for many more panels. Last month I still had a -$0.04 bill from Austin Energy!
