This is an absolute must-see if touring NY. Plan ahead and purchase tickets we'll in advance. If you can get a ticket, crown access is an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our family went in January which is an excellent time to go as far as the crowds go.

The US Park Service and staff do an excellent job keeping the grounds pristine with a friendly and helpful attitude. They take pride in their work and it shows.

If you have crown or pedestal access then bring a few single dollars to rent a locker for your bag. They won't let you bring any backpacks, purses, or other items of that sort into the secured areas.
