On June 19, 2020 I purchased a sliding glass door for my existing Champion sunroom and I also purchased a replacement window. I paid in full at the time of purchase and was told that the door and window would be ordered and take approximately 6 weeks to arrive. Let me preface this with I do not normally write reviews. I am only writing this review in hopes of saving someone else the time and frustration.
From June 19th to August 19, there was no communication from Champion, even with my calling their corporate customer service multiple times and being told that I would receive a phone call in return. I never received the return phone calls. To say their corporate customer service is poor is an understatement. I have been hung up on, transferred without my consent, spoken over, I could go on. Given that I was told a lead time of 6 weeks by my salesman, I was frustrated at this point. Here we are over 14 weeks from the time that I purchased both the sunroom door and the window and NEITHER installations are complete, I would give them zero stars if I could.
The sunroom door was partially installed on August 21, 2020. At the time of install, I was told that the screen door did not arrive with the glass door, however as soon as it came in they would come and install it. Now it is September 28, 2020, over 5 weeks later and the screen door still has not arrived. No one can explain why it hasn't arrived and no one can provide an ETA. I have no answers and Champion has my money.
The window arrived and was scheduled for installation on September 15, 2020. The installers came to install the window for us to learn that the window that arrived was not what we ordered. We ordered the window with diagonal grids to be identical to the window that we are replacing. The window that they brought out to my home to install has no grids, it is a completely clear window. As a result, they had to start the process all over again and reorder a new window. We have no ETA for this new window. At this point we will be lucky if these issues are resolved before the end of the year, a six-week process that has turned into months with no answers or ETAs. Beware!
